AWAY ON HOLIDAYS

Currently on holidays at Airlie Beach with the family. This is a lovely part of the world, however last couple of days have been a bit wet and windy. So in waiting for the weather to clear, so we can go chase some fish, I have been catching up on some emails.

How hard is it now that technology is such a part of our lives to not look at your emails on the phone? Why do we feel the need to be checking emails, facebook, twitter constantly?

There are many out there constantly chanting that this is bad and the end of civilisation as we know it, however think about it, it is really no different to taking a call, receiving a text. It is just another medium. So it is not a matter of feeling like we need to be checking things – it is just the way the world now works.

I don’t think it is a matter of being ruled by technology but rather just a change in the way we engage with each other.
